‘Gopi Vaid’ has currently become a household name for its stunning designs and silhouettes that resonate with a wide section of Indian women. The luxury ethnic wear brand began its journey in 2002, even before its establishment, when Gopi united with her friend Arnaz Soonawalla, an ENT surgeon. Arnaz’s unique understanding of fashion and design aesthetics matched those of Gopi’s and their long-standing school friendship soon translated into a business partnership, giving birth to this dynamic brand.

Gopi Vaid was established in 2003, and they started their journey with just handblocked kurtas and tunics. From the very beginning, their aim has been to create designer clothing that is beautiful, easy to wear and long-lasting. Gopi’s family background in the textile industry ensures that only the best fabrics are used with absolutely no compromise on quality. In fact, many of the karigars currently working with the brand belong to the same families who worked at Vaid’s mother’s atelier. Through the brand’s designs, the duo’s creative aesthetics combine with the artistry of these karigars resulting in intricate pieces.

At present, the brand has grown to great heights with both national and international clientele.
